MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

The University of Memphis volleyball celebrated it's 16-win season Saturday morning with its annual postseason awards banquet, held at the Holiday Inn-University of Memphis. The program honored the 2010 senior class and, in all, 12 Tigers were recognized with awards.

Seniors Christine Bach, Katlin Inglish, Becky Shaffer and Emily Underwood were each recognized for their career contributions. All four earned academic awards, while Bach took home the Coaches Award and Strength and Conditioning Award. Shaffer garnered the Captain's Award.

Also earning single-season honors were sophomores Altrese Hawkins, Vesna Jelic, Maria Jovanovic and Hajnalka Molnar. Memphis finished the 2010 season 16-16 overall and 7-13 in C-USA play. The Tigers posted a nine-game improvement in the win column from a year ago and claimed the program's ninth finish of .500 or better in 10 seasons.
