Memphis, Tenn. -- - The University of Memphis women's volleyball team will open its 30th year of varsity volleyball with three tournaments in the first month of the season.

The Tigers, who finished 11-22 last season, open in a tournament at Bradley University, Sept. 1-2, and travel to the College of Charleston for a tournament, September 8-9. At the Bradley Tournament, the Tigers will face the University of Toledo and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in addition to host Bradley. At the College of Charleston, Memphis will play South Carolina State and Mercer University.

The U of M has its first match outside of tournament play at the University of Tennessee, Sept. 11, before returning home to host a tournament of its own against Syracuse University, Mississippi State, Mississippi and Nichols State.

Memphis opens its Conference USA schedule with back-to-back home matches against Marquette and DePaul, Sept. 22-23. The Tigers first conference road match will be at Tulane, Sept. 29.
