IRVING, TEXAS - - The University of Memphis women's cross country and volleyball teams received Conference USA Sport Academic Awards it was announced by the league office, Friday.
The Sport Academic Award is given to the team with the highest grade point average in its respective sport for the 2007-08 academic school year. The Memphis women's corss country team posted the highest annual team GPA of any sport with a 3.713. The volleyball team was honored for having a team GPA of 3.580, the highest GPA of all 12 C-USA volleyball programs.
