MEMPHIS, Tenn. - With the Blue/Gray game quickly approaching for the Memphis volleyball team, each player is looking to improve. The Tigers return eight letterwinners and four starters from last season's 15-17 squad. Highlighting today's feature are setters Faith Myers, Regan Comperry and Veronica Zimmerman.
One of six upperclassmen, Zimmerman leads all returners in double-doubles with ten and had three games in 2013 with more than 60 assists. A year ago, the Toledo, Ohio, native appeared in 122-of-126 sets and started all but one match. Zimmerman returns with 1,828 career assists, good for ninth-place in the career record book.
A pair of freshman also join the squad for the upcoming season to help set the table for the offense.
