Catlin Lilly Earns First American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week Honor

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After a weekend where she started her collegiate career with back-to-back double-doubles, totaling 46 kills along with 36 digs over the three games, Catlin Lilly was named the first ever Freshman of the Week for the American Athletic Conference.

Lilly helped the Tigers to a 2-1 record and second place finish at the Belmont Invitational, with wins over the host Belmont Bruins and the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs. Her 46 kills puts her first among freshman and third among all players in the Conference.

Memphis returns to action Friday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. when they host Alabama A&M in the second match of the Memphis Invitational.
