Philadelphia - The Tigers enter the second week of conference play in the American, traveling to take on the Temple Owls in the only match of the weekend for both teams.
The Tigers entered conference play with an 8-5 record, sporting identical 2-1 records in each of the four weekend tournaments where they competed in addition to a midweek loss to Arkansas State.
The Tigers spent their first weekend of conference play on the road, splitting their matches. Losing the conference opener at Louisville Friday night before winning a 5-set duel against Cincinnati Sunday afternooon.
With her 5.52 digs per set, Aleksandra Petronijevic ranks first in the American Athletic Conference and 10th in the nation. Ellen Mullins of the Univerisity of Tennessee leads the nation with 6.30. Veronica Zimmerman is second in the conference in assists per set, as the redshirt sophomore has averaged 11.02 through 49 sets, giving her 545 on the year. Zimmerman currently ranks 23rd in the nation, with Molly Kreklow of Missouri sitting in first with 12.64.
Lauren Hawkins and Aleksandra Petronijevic both rank as some of the top Servers in the conference, with Hawkins leading the conference at 0.36 service aces per set and Petronijevic ranks No. 7 in the conference with 0.31.
Catlin Lilly enters the weekend No. 8 in the conference with 3.25 kills per set, while teammate Viktorija Teivane sits right behind her at No. 9 with 3.10. Lilly is one of two freshman in the top-10, with Houston's Sarita Mikals just ahead of Lilly at No. 6, putting down 3.39 kills per set.
