MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis volleyball (9-9) takes a break from American Athletic Conference play Tuesday evening when they welcome the Tennessee State University Tigers (5-11) to the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
Catlin Lilly leads the Memphis attack with 3.32 kills per set, followed closely by Viktorija Teivane and Lauren Hawkins with 2.87 and 2.80 respectively. Catlin has been even more impressive lately, with a 3.62 kill per set average in conference play.
Aleksandra Petronijevic has led the Tiger defense all season, racking up 375 digs, a 5.36 average an average that leads the American Athletic Conference.
As a team, TSU has been outhit when looking at the percentages with .175 compared to .229 by opponents on the year, but TSU has outkilled opponents 701 to 699, thanks to their 1983 total attempts compared to opponents 1870.
Naomi Wells leads the TSU attack with 3.70 kills per set, starting every match of the season so far. Sherryce Butler and Arijana Anderson have respectively downed 2.54 and 2.47 kills per set. Erika Moss helps run the offense, racking up 547 assists (10.13 per/set).
Ileanushka Maldanado leads the team with 198 digs, followed by Naomi Wells with 152 and Erika Moss with 129.
