ORLANDO, Fla. - The Tigers complete their Florida road trip with a match against the UCF Knights Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. Memphis started the road trip with a match against USF Friday evening, falling 3-1 to the Bulls. The match will also be the completion of the first half of the conference schedule, with rematches against Cincinnati and Louisville scheduled for next week at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
Catlin Lilly continues to lead the Tiger offense with a 3.25 kill per set average, giving her 237 on the year. Lauren Hawkins sits right behind her with 211 kills, for a 2.93 average. Viktorija Teivane also has passed the 200 kill plataeu, sitting at 201, for a 2.48 average.
UCF enters the weekend with a 13-7 record, but have a 4-3 record in conference play and have lost three games in a row, road games against Louisville, Houston and SMU. The Knights have a 10-1 record at home on the year and have conference wins against Rutgers, UConn and USF at home.
As a team the Knights have hit .192 during conference play, compared to their .246 overall on the year. Opponents have hit .191 during conference games compared to .184 overall on the year. Angelica Crump leads the Knights attack with 3.69 kills per set, followed closely by DeLaina Sarden with 3.30. Loren cory and Taylor Gallart round out the Knights that average more than 2.00 kills per set.
Marie Reiterova leads the conference with 11.52 assists per set, while Dana Faught has averaged 5.88 for the Knights. 112 of Faught’s 153 assists have come during conference play. Jade Hayes has averaged 4.40 digs per set, totaling 321 on the year. Reiterova has averaged 2.64 digs, while Shelby Foyer is just shy of 2.00 with 1.97 per set.
