MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Tigers enter the sixth week of conference play in the American, and for the first time they will have a repeat matchup against conference opponents with Louisville Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. after playing Cincinnati Friday evening.
Memphis entered the weekend seventh out of 10 teams halfway through the conference season, ahead of UConn, Cincinnati and Rutgers, all teams the Tigers defeated the first half of the conference play. The Tigers are just behind Houston who has a 5-4 record. Temple, UCF and SMU are all tied with a 6-3 record. USF has a 7-2 record while Louisville sits at the top of the standings with a perfect 9-0 record.
Louisville defeated Temple Friday evening to improve to 10-0 in the conference, while Memphis took down Cincinnati to improve to 4-6 and maintain their seventh spot in the conference.
