MEMPHIS, Tenn. - For the fourth time in her career, the University of Memphis' Altrese Hawkins has been honored by Conference USA. Today, C-USA announced their all-conference teams, and Hawkins was selected first team all-conference for the third straight year. She was also named to the all-freshman team in her first season at Memphis. Along with the all-conference selection, Hawkins was also named Tennessee Sports Writers Association Volleyball Player of the Week on Tuesday.

This season, Hawkins led the team in kills (456) and kills per set at 3.77. She ranked fifth in C-USA in terms of kills per set, and seventh with an average of 4.22 points per set. The Schaumburg, Ill., native ended her career with a bang, setting the school record for career kills and becoming the first Tiger in program history to reach the 1,800 kill plateau. She broke the record with the 19th kill of her season-best 25-kill performance at Southern Miss last weekend. Hawkins followed that with 10 kills at UCF, ending her career with a school record 1,806 kills. She also set career-bests with 289 digs (2.39 per set) and 51 blocks (43 assists, 8 solo) this season.
