Tigers Take a Share of Fourth Place, Wang Finishes in Top Three

CHOUDRANT, La. – After shooting its best round of the tournament, the University of Memphis men's golf team claimed a share of fourth place at the Argent Financial Classic while Yixiang Wang finished 12 under par to place third for individuals.

Finishing 16 under par, the Tigers recorded their best round of the tournament today, finishing seven under par with 21 combined birdies and an eagle on hole nine for Wang. Memphis splits fourth place with Rice.

Wang, who hung around the top of the individuals' leaderboard this weekend, finished with a knockout third round today, tying his career-best round score of 66 and claiming his best collegiate finish with a share of third place.

Cian O'Connor and Christian Morneau both finished today's round at one over par while each claimed a share of 33^rd place. Diego Lourenco and Tobey Kim finished the tournament two and three over par, respectively.
