AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of Memphis punter Harrison Tuck was selected as one of the "Ray's 8" for week nine, the Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award committee announced on Monday.
Tuck, a native of Mt. Crawford, Australia, logged his highest average punt yardage total of the season, averaging 48.67 yards on a total of three punts for 146 yards.
In Memphis' win over Army, he also tied his season long of 53 yards, having two 50-plus yard punts while landing two punts inside the 20-yard line.
He becomes the first Memphis punter to garner any in-season recognition since Joe Doyle was named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week in Sept. 2022. Since the award was introduced in 2000, Memphis has had a player on the award's watch list in 12 seasons.
